Abstract
For the difficult to assessment armored vehicle detonation resulted from behind armor debris, the shaped charge warhead was taken as research object, to analyze critical detonation velocity criterion based on hotspot theory. The explosive inner pressure and state during the shock detonation were analyzed by numerical simulation, taking reaction as detonating parameter, to verify the hotspot detonation theory. Influence rules of such factors as shaped charge impact place, fragment dimension and fragment material on shock detonation were obtained. Under the condition of same diameter, critical detonation velocity of cylindrical fragment is lower than of spherical fragment. Residual shaped charge or behind armor debris can completely detonate ammunitions inside armored vehicles, which results in serious secondary damage effect. There will be shock detonation of explosive hit by the steel fragment with effective dimension of 14 cm and velocity of 1 800 m/s or tungsten fragment with 14 cm and 1 500 m/s.
