Research on Surrounding Rock Damage Control Blasting by Numerical Simulation Method

  • In order to study the influence rule of different charge structure blasting to surrounding rock damage, the research work was carried out by numerical simulation method. The simulation results showed that the charge structure with water + cutting seam presented better blasting result and less surrounding rock damage than other charge structures, the charge structure of air coupling was the worst, the charge structure of water coupling and air+ cutting seam was between the above successively. So in practical engineering, the same blasting effect could be got by the charge structure of water + cutting seam, which could cause the blasthole spacing increasing or the amount of charge reducing as the others, especially could get apparent effect to the soft broken rock mass. Simultaneously, water could play a certain role to the face dust and prevent gas explosion disasters occur. The numerical simulation results are consistent with the conclusion of the test results.
