Design Parameter Sensitivity Analysis of Super * Zip Separation Devices

  • The separation process of Super * Zip separation devices was simulated by the ANSYS/LY-DYNA. The simulation models were established for the main design parameter for those factors that influencing the performance of the separation devices. Based on these simulation models, the output performance and sensitivity of the design parameter were researched. The effect that these design parameters, such as the explosive load, the thickness of the groove, the radius of the groove rounding, the thickness of separation plate, the toughness of separation plate, the hardness of the flatted tube and the filler, has on the performance of the separation devices was obtained. The results show that the explosive load and the thickness of the groove influence the performance of Super * Zip separation devices.
