Analysis on Scramble Crossing of Motorized Vehicles at Uncontrolled T-Shaped Intersections

The scramble crossing of motorized vehicles and the influencing factors at uncontrolled T-shaped intersections under mixed traffic conditions were analyzed based on the video observation. The binary Logistic regression was applied to model the scramble crossing behavior. The results indicate that the motor drivers tend to scramble when encounter pedestrians, older and female road users. With the increasing number of pedestrians and non-motor vehicles, the scrambling probability declines. This study may contribute to traffic education and provide guidance for traffic policy at uncontrolled intersection.
