Simulation of Drive Motor Performance and Dynamical Features for Electric Vehicle

  • The structural features of drive system and the technical requirements of drive motor for electric vehicle are analyzed in this paper. From the perspective of vehicle dynamics, a mathematical model for motor performance parameters of electric vehicle is established. The basic characteristics of the motor design parameters are investigated by simulation. The results show that maximum speed in the proposed model is 48.6 km/h while the conventional speed is 35.2 km/h. And the acceleration time from 0~40 km/h is 15.2 s as well as the maximum grade ability is 19.7%. The dynamical feathers can reach the design goals. Validity and feasibility of this method can be verified in the test of drive system for electric vehicles.
