Study on the Forecasting Problem of Urban Parking Demands Based on Land Use

In order to solve the limitation of different parking demand models, a model was presented to forecast the parking demand of the traffic zones based on the traffic volume-parking demand model. The model was constructed through following steps: grouping traffic zones according to their traffic structures in terms of traffic attractions; calibrating zone groups in the light of the land use of traffic zones; forecasting attractive traffic structures for each group independently; calculating parking demand of each traffic zone. The example validates the accuracy of the method.
