Rational Determination of the Speed Target Value of Intercity Rail Train

The selection principle of train speeds target value on intercity rail and the main factors of intercity speed target value was analyzed in this study. The adaptive of speed target value with two train grades which included station direct train and ordinary train was explored, and the comparison on plans of speed target value with different train grades was introduced. Finally, the recommended plan with different distances of stations was presented and the relationship with the average station distance, running distance of train on maximum speed and running time of train on maximum speed was discussed, the reasonable speed target value of the intercity rail is suggested.
