Abstract
Based on the principles of binocular stereo vision, high-speed photography and digital image correlation (DIC), a high-speed three-dimensional deformation measurement system was constructed to measure the dynamic 3D deformation of structures. The experimental set-up and its details of the measurement system were introduced. Two experiments, an aluminum plate impacted by a pendulum and a graphite cylinder loaded by a Hopkinson bar, were performed using the constructed system. The dynamic 3D out-of-plane deformation fields of the plate and the lateral 3D deformation of the graphite cylindrical were obtained.
