Optimization Composition of High Strength Steel Sheets for Car- Body Front Structures Based on Response Surface Methods

Abstract
To properly select high strength steel sheets with different yield stress, the optimal design based on response surface methods was researched using regression model of quadratic polynomial. Through Latin hypercube DOE combined with employing software of LS-OPT and LS-DYNA, optimization design of six components demanding high strength steel sheets at car-body front was carried out. The good matching of components with different yield stress was obtained. The comparison of performance about front crashworthiness before and after optimization was implemented and its analytical results prove that the proposed scheme in this study is feasible.
