Precise Electric Throttle Openness Control for Vehicle Adaptive Cruise Control System

Abstract
Electric throttle control for ACC system of modified JETTA GTX vehicle was studied. By applying comprehensively multi-proportion integration differentiation(PID) algorithms, the control strategy and its optimization for DC torque motors has been developed. The optimized control PWM signals originated from out-compare channel of single-chip are used to drive DC motor. Test results show that the developed throttle controller based on presented strategy has a good performance.
