A New P Code Direct Acquisition Algorithm

  • It is known that the P code direct average acquisition algorithm has the correlation signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) loss caused by averaging initial phase error. To decrease the loss of correlation SNR, a new compensatory average method was proposed. A pair of compensatory sequences of P code was created, which can compensate correlation SNR loss through overlapping sequences. Analysis and simulation results indicate that the principle of the algorithm is correct and it has better correlation SNR. The correlation SNR of proposed algorithm is uniform over the whole domain of initial phase error of average. And the lowest correlation SNR of new algorithm is about 3dB higher than the direct average method.
