Study on Properties of a Novel Fiber Guiding Light Solar Illumination System

A new type of fiber guiding light solar illumination systems is proposed. The structure and principle were introduced. To prove its property of concentrating light, the performance of lighting devices was investigated through computer simulation. In real weather conditions, experimental results show that the new green lighting system is feasible and has a good performance. The internal illumination of the integrated box used in the experiment with the lighting system installed is 10 times higher than the illumination without it. Finally, a number of issues are addressed and the approaches to improve them are propounded.
