Abstract
A kind of Galileo pseudolite signal format is described. For pulsed pseudolite signal receiving, we propose two pulse synchronization methods: the segmented FFT method and the pulse pattern matching method. By taking advantage of segmented correlation between receiving pulse and local pulse, the segmented FFT method obtains timing information of receiving pulsed signal through segmented FFT operation; and the pulse pattern matching method achieves synchronization by using the pseudo-random property of pulse pattern. For comparison, the simulation is conducted and the results indicate that the pulse pattern matching method has the best false alarm performance when receiving the Galileo E1 signal and the segmented FFT method has the shortest average acquisition time. Both methods can effectively improve the performance of pseudolite receiver.
