Abstract
According to Galileo search and rescue beacon signal characteristics, generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) and maximum likelihood (ML) estimation method are used to achieve search and rescue signal detection as well as acquiring the rough estimation of FOA, TOA and bit width based on the pure tone and bit-frame synchronization information. The results of simulations and hardware tests show that there is no false alarm and the probability of correct detection is beyond 0.97 when the carrier to noise ratio of received signal is 34.8dB·Hz. The result is better than the system requirement which is 0.95.
