Study on the Characteristic of Bio-Hydrogen Productionfrom Anaerobic Fermentation of Corn Straw

  • Bio-hydrogen production from corn straw by anaerobic fermentation of cow dung compost has been studied and implemented in 30L reactors. The avenue to producing hydrogen by substrate fermentation was analyzed and the fermentative style was determined by liquid ferment production. The factors of hydrogen production were ascertained by measuring the zymolytic liquid composition and an appropriate method was put forward for producing hydrogen continuously and steadily. The experiment result shows that the fermentation of corn straw to produce hydrogen belongs to the type of butyric acid fermentation and the amount of produced hydrogen is closely related to the growing characteristic of microorganism in fermenting process.
