Asymptotic Node Distribution of Random Walk Model for Ad Hoc Networks

  • Asymptotic node distribution of random walking mobility model is analyzed in two kinds of simulation regions. In boundless regions, the probability density functions of the endpoints after n-step movements are calculated by central limit theorem. When model is implemented in a bounded region, it is proven, by the method of Markov chains and simulation, that the asymptotic node distribution is uniform due to border effect.
