Model of Road Roughness in Time Domain Based on Rational Function

  • Time domain model of road roughness based on rational functions is studied. Using the Matlab/Simulink program package, a time domain model of road roughness based on rational function is found and simulated. The power spectral density and root mean square of the simulation outputs are computed. Refer to the classification of road roughness by ISO, the correct parameters are obtained, and the validity of the time domain model of road roughness based on rational function is validated. A new time domain model of road roughness which just requires the road roughness coefficient is deduced. Using this model, the road roughness mentioned by the classification of road roughness can be simulated correctly and easily.
