Comprehensive Evaluation on Effectivenessof Quality Management Systems

A new method based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets and TOPSIS is proposed for assessing the effectiveness of quality management system. Concepts and characteristic of the effectiveness of quality management system are given, The indices system for evaluating the effectiveness of quality management system is proposed. The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy sets is put forward; the formula for measuring the distance between two intuitionistic fuzzy sets is defined, and a new fuzzy TOPSIS method for assessing the effectiveness of quality management system is developed. A numerical example showed that the method is valid.
