Abstract
According to experimental materials on bond-slip behaviors of steel reinforced concrete, the mechanics model of a pull-out steel I-columns built up and the slip displacement between steel and concrete of a steel I-column subjected to pull-out load is studied by the energy method. The cross section of steel I-column is divided into three parts. Slip displacement formulation along the embedment length is derived by the principle of minimum potential energy. Calculation results showed that the slip curves have the basic characteristic of quadratic curves distribution. The results can be used to describe the interface slips between steel and concrete under complicated loads, and besides to study the bond-slip constitutive relationship between steel and concrete.
