Effect of Electrical Fast Transient Burst upon the Electromagnetic Environment in a Mine Tunnel

  • In order to study the radiated noise caused by an electrical fast transient/burst(EFT/B) in a mine, its frequency-spectrum characteristics are analyzed. The measured frequency of spectrum analyzer is in the range of 3MHz~1GHz, and the method of field test is investigated. The results showed that the effect of EFT/B upon the electromagnetic radiated the environment in mine tunnel remained very limited, and the radiated emission energy of intrinsic-safe electronic equipment also limited. It is shown that the radiated noise can be suppressed by the explosion-proof shell of electrical apparatuses in mine.
