Simulation Analysis and Experimental Research on the Variable Universe Fuzzy Control of Hydro-Pneumatic Suspension

Abstract
In order to improve the riding comfort of vehicles, the variable universe fuzzy strategies for hydro-pneumatic suspension were established to deal with the nonlinear characteristics in hydro-pneumatic suspension. The suspension deflection was taken as the controlling objective. With the 2-DOF model as the study object, and according to experimental data from indicator diagram, spring force and damping force of the suspension were fitted. Simulation was carried out with the simulated C-class road profile as the random input. Based on these, field testing was carried out. The simulation and field testing showed that variable universe fuzzy control could reduce the probability of road-wheel arms bottoming out on bump stops, weaken the vibration acceleration, and improve the riding comfort of vehicles.
