Abstract
Varieties and quantities of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) inside three passenger vehicles were determined using the method of thermal desorption-gas chromatography/mass spectrometer(TD-GC/MS) under static conditions. About 33 kinds of volatile organic compounds were detected inside these vehicles, including alkanes (33.6%), alkenes (12.1%), aromatic compounds (36.4%), and others (18.2%). The external standard methods were utilized to give linear standard curves for quantitative analysis. The results showed that benzene derivatives are the main pollutants inside vehicles, accounting for about 35%~50% of the total VOCs.
