Abstract
Platform in safety-critical applications faced problems of high cost and technical limit, This paper proposes and implements a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS)-based high safety fault-tolerant computing platform (VIS). Analyzes in depth the 2oo2 × 2 architecture and fault-tolerant synchronization principle of VIS. The safety integrity level verification according to standard IEC 61508 shows that SIL4 is achieved, and VIS fulfils the safety-critical systems.
