Research on the Characteristics of Flier-Plate Material with Graded Impedance

  • Based on the quasi-isentropic property of flier-plates with graded wave impedance impacting on the secondary flier-plate,design rules for flier-plates with graded wave impedance are proposed.According to the design rules,a flier-plate consisting of a set of materials including TPX,MB2,Al,Ti,Cu and Ta is presented,and the impedance distribution of this flier-plate is calculated.The results show that the wave impedance ratios of front and rear surfaces of the to the flier-plate to that of the secondary flier-plate are 0.08 and 2.45 respectively.
