Static and Dynamic Extraction of Turmeric Oleoresin by Supercritical CO<SUB<2</SUB< Fluid

  • Processing of turmeric oleoresin from turmeric by gradient boost and static-dynamic extraction of supercritical CO<sup<2</sup< fluid are studied.Orthogonal design and homogenous uniform design are applied to optimize the processing parameters.The optimum conditions observed were: water content of raw material at 5.5%~6.0%,preexistence at 10 MPa,30 ℃,15 min,then recirculating at 30 MPa,45 ℃,40 L/h,120 min.The result showed that the extraction yield of turmeric oleoresin was 8.95% by supercritical CO<sup<2</sup<.Compared with traditional steam distillation,this method possesses higher efficiency and shorter time.The processing of supercritical CO<sup<2</sup< extraction of turmeric oleoresin is seen to be practical.
