Adaptive Load-Balancing in Grid Storage

To advance the storage performance in grids,it is needed to study the load balance strategy.A new load balancing strategy based on data access is presented for grids of heterogeneous storage units.The energy model is developed to describe the data access load on storage units.The new placement method coupled with data access is used to minimize the load migration cost.Making and reclaiming duplications optimizes data accessing.Simulation results showed that the efficiency of the new strategy is higher than that of the disk cooling strategy by 20%.
