Coning Motion of Rockets,Its Numerical Simulation and Restraint

Abstract
Through numerical computation the aerodynamic characteristics of high fineness ratio unguided spinning rockets with wrap-around tail fins for three different setting modes were calculated. Through 6-DOF ballistic numerical simulation, the coning motion of the different setting mode rocket can be validated. It shows that the negative setting mode can effectively restrain the coning motion of an unguided low spinning rocket having high fineness ratio stabilized with wrap-around tail fin.
