Methods of Signal Processing in Conical Scan Linear Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Radars

  • Based on the theory of liner frequency modulated continuous wave(LFMCW) and conical scan, the signal processing methods of conical scan LFMCW radar are analyzed.According to the characteristics of the echo, frequency domain method(FDM) is used on the conical scan LFMCW to achieve the expression which can obtain angular information as well as high range resolution image.Effects of spectrum leakage to the system are also analyzed, and the compensation of leakage given.Simulation results showed that these methods can be used in tracking radar.
