Simplified Calculations of the Crushing Distance of Reinforced Concrete Slabs Under Explosion

A method for an objective evaluation the force of warheads upon the crushing distance of slabs of reinforced concrete is proposed.Dynamic responses of slabs under the explosion loading are analyzed in terms of the principle of structural dynamics after an experimental study.General formula and specific simplified formulas for calculating the crushing distance are derived.Comparison between calculation and experimental results show that the method proposed is correct and satisfies the engineering requirements.
