Preventive Effects of Yizhikang on the Artherosclerosis Model on Coturnix

Preventive effects of Yizhikang on an artherosclerosis model on coturnix(quail) are studied.The coturnix artherosclerosis model was established by feeding with high-fat diet(1%cholesterol,14%lard,6%bean oil) and treating it with Yizhikang simultaneously,observing whether serum TC,TG,LDL-c,HDL-c,VLDL-c, liver lipidoses and AO artherosclerotic plaque were resulted at.Yizhikang could decrease the level of serum TC,TG and increase the level of serum HDL,compared to that of the model group remarkably.In addition,Yizhikang inhibited liver lipidoses and AO artherosclerotic plaque.Yizhikang hypsi-and midst dose group could decrease the level of serum TC and TG remarkably,and could prevent the formation of artherosclerotic.
