Influence of Rare Earth Elements La and Ce on the Mechanical Properties of Alloy 93WNiFe

  • The effects of adding rare earth elements La,Ce prepared through powder metallurgy on the static and dynamic mechanical properties of alloy 93WNiFe were studied.The results showed that the addition of a small amount of La,Ce to 93WNiFe improved markedly the mechanical properties.The addition of La,Ce reduces the detaching of W-W and W-M interfaces and increases the cleavage of W pellets and binder fracture.La,Ce changes the existence and distribution states of impurity elements oxygen and sulfur,reduces the segregation of oxygen and sulfur elements at the W-binder interface,and improves the mechanical properties.
