Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution Based on Entropy Weight for Supplier Selection

A system of evaluation indices for supplier selection is put forward based on automobile manufacturing enterprises,and a multi-level model of technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS),based on entropy weight,is constructed.Because entropy weight is adopted in the model,the subjectivity in ascertaining factors' weights in lower hierarchy can be avoided.The improved model has been applied in supplier selection in some automobile manufacturing enterprises.The order preference of suppliers was attained,and the excellent and ideal suppliers were ascertained for the enterprise.
