P2P(Peer to Peer)-Based Technique For Scalable Web Cache

  • Current P2P Web cache is analyzed and a P2P-based technique for scalable web cache is described. A system model for this technique is proposed. System model includes fat nodes and thin nodes. The fat node takes charge for all nodes in a region, and stores the address list and shared Web cache contents' index of all nodes in a region. The thin node can communicate with all nodes in the region. The experiment shows that compared to the fore P2P Web cache methods, this method achieves many benefits, such as being scalable, being tolerant of node failures and being easy to manage nodes, while imposing low overhead on the participating nodes.
