Abstract
Studies the dynamic performance of automobile seat structure on seat safety during impact. A finite element model of the seat structure and seat restraint system is set up through PAM-CRASH. Analysis on the relationship of seat pillow cushion material and seat pillow dynamic characteristics is performed through impact simulation for the seat structure and restraint system under dynamic crashing using nonlinear, dynamic, explicit code of PAM-CRASH based on GB 11550-1995. It is indicated from the results of study that the features of seat pillow cushion material and seatback stiffness has direct effects on the acceleration of the dummy's head.
