Design and Implementation of a Meta-Search Engine Based Framework for Integrating Digital Librarys Systems

In order to integrate distributed and heterogeneous digital librarys systems on the Web seamlessly and provide uniform and transparent services for users, a meta-search engine based framework for integrating digital librarys systems is proposed, and a prototype system based on this framework is implemented. The system can map user's query to the search services of remote digital librarys, and provide a transparent access to multiple digital librarys on the Web via a uniform query interface. It has no constraints on digital librarys participating in the integration.
