Analysis and Design of an Information System for Urban Underground Pipelines Purposed at Information Sharing

Studies the problem of information sharing among urban underground pipeline companies, among municipal departments, as well as among the companies and government departments. Such problems exist widely in Beijing as problems in urban underground pipelines information management. Based on theory and method of development of information system, the significance and feasibility of development of Beijing underground pipelines information system (BUPIS) are discussed, and the information system is analyzed and designed. Framework of the information system and the general structure in information sharing and exchange are presented. The conceptual model and network structure of a distributed integrated management scheme is also introduced.
