Abstract
Reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed to analyse the content of clarithromycin, and the stability of the method evaluated. The chromatographic conditions in use were as follows: Kromasil C<SUB<18</SUB<(4.6 mm×150 mm)column with Alltech guard column; the mobile phase is CH-3OH and 0.05 mol/L KH<SUB<2</SUB<PO<SUB<4</SUB<(7∶3, V∶V ), pH value adjusted to 4.0 with phosphoric acid, the flow rate is 1.0 mL/min; and the detection wavelength is 210 nm. The results showed that the method adopted was a simple, quick one with fine stability and high accuracy, and can be used to monitor the synthesis of clarithromycin.
