Quantitative Analysis of Clarithromycin by Reversed Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography

  • Reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed to analyse the content of clarithromycin, and the stability of the method evaluated. The chromatographic conditions in use were as follows: Kromasil C<SUB<18</SUB<(4.6 mm×150 mm)column with Alltech guard column; the mobile phase is CH-3OH and 0.05 mol/L KH<SUB<2</SUB<PO<SUB<4</SUB<(7∶3, V∶V ), pH value adjusted to 4.0 with phosphoric acid, the flow rate is 1.0 mL/min; and the detection wavelength is 210 nm. The results showed that the method adopted was a simple, quick one with fine stability and high accuracy, and can be used to monitor the synthesis of clarithromycin.
