Current Compensation in the Control of High Thrust Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor

  • For the velocity servo requirements of high thrust permanent magnet linear synchronous motor, IP velocity controller is chosen and the mover mass of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor, coefficient of viscous friction and thrust ripple are identified via the online identification method, then the thrust disturbance is compensated separately with current by online and offline compensation methods. Simulation showed that offline compensation decreases the system velocity ripple and the servo system has robust servo performance with online compensation.
