Analysis of Energy Consumption of BJD6100-EV Bus in Urban Driving

  • Close relationship exists between the optimum design of electric vehicle's power train parameters and its energy consumption characteristics. A method of analysis for the vehicle's energy consumption is adopted where the driving range, energy consumption per kilometer, and the specific energy consumption are selected as the evaluation parameters. Equivalent number of passengers and equivalent load are used to evaluate the driving load. Based on experimental results on urban route, the energy consumption of BJD6100-EV has been analyzed. The method put forward could be helpful to understand in more depth the energy consumption characteristics of the electric bus and serve as a guide to the matching of parameters for electric bus.
