Finite Element Analysis on CPUE-Rubber Combined Flange of Load-Bearing Wheels

  • Puts forward an analysis on cast polyurethane elastomer (CPUE) and rubber combined flange for a load-bearing wheel. Based on the finite element method, mechanical and thermal models of combined flange load-bearing wheel are set up and analyzed. Stresses and temperatures of CPUE and rubber under different thickness proportions are compared. The results show that the optimum thickness proportion of CPUE within the total flange thickness amounts to ca. 20%~30%.
