A New Location Algorithm for Vehicle Location and Navigation System

Abstract
A new location algorithm for vehicle location and navigation systems is designed according to the law of large numbers and relevant hypotheses, as well as concepts from computational geometry. The algorithm can lead to an approximate route in vehicle routing by computing convex hull, convex polygonal, triangulation, area and diameter of convex polygons and many other quantities. The results show that the positioning accuracy of vehicle location and navigation system can be improved through the use of this algorithm. It is found to be better than the algorithm based on Kalman filter for GPS/INU/MM integrated systems.
