C60 γ aminopropylsilyl bonded silica was synthesized by chemical attachment of γ aminopropylsilyl to silica, followed by the reaction of C60 with alkylamine. Using elemental analysis and the method for measuring the amounts of alkylamine described by Esko et al., the content of bonded C60 was determined to be 1 19×10 -5 mol and 1 09×10 -5 mol in per gram silica, respectively.
