Characteristics of Visible to Infrared Transducer Films for Dynamic Image Simulation

Abstract
A technique of visible to infrared film transducer is presented. Functions of the transducer film are discussed,and solutions of the heat transfer equation given. Factors which affect the time constant and spatial resolution of the film are analyzed. A film of periodic structure is put forward to improve the spatial resolution of the film. The spectrum range, spatial resolution and time constant of the film are 8~12 μm, 6 lp/mm and 6 ms respectively. The infrared image generated with the application of this principle can be used in the simulation test of infrared image missile guidance and in measuring the uniformity and dynamic characteristics of many infrared image instruments.
