  • Light ray geometry and polarization properties of pyramid optical prisms (including corner cube prisms) are discussed. Spatial ray traces inside the prisms and the light reflection characteristics are discribed in detail. The misalignment insensitivity and light polarization property of corner cube prisms are investigated. Two groups of monolithic non planar unidirectional traveling wave ring laser resonators are constructed using pyramid prisms. The designed resonators are used for LD pumped solid state lasers to generate 1 064 μm and 1 319 μm single frequeney lasers. Method of designing pyramid resonators and the experimental reasults are presented.
