A Study on Catalysts for the Removal of SO2 from Flue Gas
Natural mordenite was modified by ion exchange with metallic ion to get an effective and inexpensive catalyst for the removal of SO 2. The catalyst having a desulfurization rate of about 89% can be used in the industrial desulfurization of flue gas. FT IR, XPS and CERIUS 2 have been applied in the study of the mechanism of SO 2 removal with natural mordenite modified by Fe 3+ and in the method of preparation of the catalyst.
