Network Flow Control Based on a Self-Learn Pattern

A self learn flow control mechanism is proposed to adjust the velocity based on the analysis of the effect of output buffer queue inside the ATM switch. Using this method, the best flow control effect can be gained. Besides, some new types of intelligent network flow control methods are compared. The results of simulation show that this method has excellent stability, dynamic response and can avoid and release congestion, improve network performance and use network resources efficiently.
