Etherification Protection for Hydroxyls in Erythromycin A Oximes
Three kinds of alkyloxy cyclohexene, viz. 1-isopropoxycyclohexene, 1-ethoxycyclohexene and 1-methoxycyclohexene, were investigated for hydroxyl protection in erythromycin oxime. The obtained results showed that 1-isopropoxycyclohexene and 1-ethoxycyclohexene were potential protective reagents in clarithromycin synthesis.
