A Study on the Random Sampling Method for Compensating the Nonlinear Errors in Inertial Navigation

  • In order to compensate the nonlinear errors induced by the rectification for high frequency vibrations in the inertial measure unit (IMU), the paper presents a new random sampling method. Taking an accelerometer, as the objective, the paper gives a more detailed description and analysis on the random sampling method, and presents detailed simulation procedures and results. An improved method is proposed aiming at the shortcomings of the original random sampling method. Results of simulation show that the new method causes only a white noise of smaller intensity while the computing load is not much increased.
