Track Axis Stabilization Applied on Tracking in Motion

Abstract
Compensation is utilized to suppress coupling by carrier’s vibration when studying tracking in motion for self propelled weapons. Tracking units work better with compensation control, in fact an open loop control combined with closed loop control. The method linearizes the non linear part of the coupling between the carrier and the tracking units based on measurable parameters by analyzing the structure of coupling and gives the explicit expression of the compensation signal. Simulation by Matlab shows that compensation can reduce the error. The method is proven to be effective in suppressing the coupling. It can stabilize the track axis without changing the structure of the tracking units.
