A Multi-Model Integrated CAPP System Based on PDM

A multi model integrated CAPP system based on PDM is studied. After analysing functions and characteristic of PDM, this paper discusses an integration architecture based on PDM, then presents a multi model integrated CAPP system based on PDM and discusses its methods of implementation. Through these methods, a CAPP system is built up, which can not only manage the process of process planning, but also integrate with other cell systems without seam. At the same time it makes the implementation of concurrent engineering possible.
